About the Developers, María Rosa Escudé Reifler and Ron Reifler

Ron & María Rosa
María Rosa Escudé Reifler, M. A., M. F. T., was born in Argentina and received her B. A. and M. A. Degrees in the United States. She is a credentialed bilingual (English and Spanish) teacher, an education consultant, a corporate consultant and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Ron Reifler, M. B. A. was born in Chicago, Illinois and received his education at the University of Illinois and the University of Chicago. As an industrial psychologist he works with schools and corporations.
María Rosa and Ron have conducted programs for students, parents and teachers throughout the United States. In addition, they work with corporate clients on projects in management and organization development. Their clients include such firms as Nestle, Chevron, Disney, and Luis Watkins Custom Wrought Iron.
Ron and María Rosa are the co-authors of The Adventures of Tigy and Elly, The Art of Parenting and the ‘Self-Management for Kids’ program. They live in Playa del Rey, California.
ILLUSTRATOR
Alison Bonds Shapiro, M. B. A., was born in the United
States. She is an artist, illustrator and business consultant. She has
prepared all of the drawings in this collection and is also the
illustrator of “Just for Today” (Tiburon, H. J. Kramer, Inc, 2005).
Alison holds seminars, lectures, writes and makes films about her
experience as a stroke recovery heroine. She is the author
of “Healing into Possibility” (Tiburon, J. J. Kramer, April 2009). She lives
in Mill Valley, California.
TRANSLATOR
Clara Blank holds law degrees from Argentina and Israel. She
speaks five languages and today works as a translator/interpreter
in Sacramento, California. She has translated each of the books in
the series into Spanish.
EDITORIAL ASSOCIATES
Rocío Diaz has been working with Ron and María Rosa since
2000. She studied abroad while sailing around the world, just like Elly and
Tigy! She graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2009.
Stella Escudé, M. A. was born in Argentina and educated
in the United States. She has edited each of the English and
Spanish editions of each of The Adventures of Elly and Tigy.
Stella is an elementary school teacher in Montebello, California.
Mary Beth Crain is a professional writer and humorist. She helped us write the first three books of our series, as well as establish the format and the pace of The Adventures of Elly and Tigy. She lives in Hart, Michigan.
